Waste Facility

The Alpha Waste Facility provides local waste disposal and recycling services for the Alpha community.

Please Help Keep the Facility Safe and Clean

  • Place your waste directly into the designated disposal pit. Do not leave waste on the ground.
  • Keep children and pets under close supervision at all times while on site.
  • Do not light fires or dispose of hot ashes, chemicals, hazardous waste or other prohibited materials.
  • Follow all site signage and dispose of waste in the appropriate designated areas.

Tyres Dedicated skip bin for vehicle tyres.

Used Motor Oil

 

White collection bin for used motor oil. Adjacent pallets are provided for used oil containers,

Scrap Metal, Aluminium General scrap metal, aluminium products and roofing iron (corrugated metal sheeting).

Timber Separate areas for untreated timber, treated timber, timber products and pallets.

Concrete, bricks, stones, tiles and other masonry materials.

Plasterboard (gyprock), non-asbestos cement sheeting and other soft construction materials.

Small Branches & Mulch

 

Large green waste including palm fronds, tree trunks and logs.

Small branches, garden prunings and mulch material.

 


Clean Fill (Dirt) Clean soil and dirt only. No rocks, concrete or contamination.



Please use the designated areas for each material to help maximise recycling and resource recovery while keeping the facility safe and efficient.

The Recycling Hub provides residents with a convenient way to recycle a range of household items that should not be placed in the general waste bin. By separating these materials, you help recover valuable resources, reduce landfill, and protect the environment.

Currently accepted materials include:

  • Small household batteries
  • Rechargeable tool batteries
  • Printer ink cartridges
  • Eligible beverage containers

Please place only the accepted materials into each designated containers
