Barcaldine Regional Council is rolling out a new, smarter approach to waste management across our communities—focused on reducing landfill, improving recycling, and keeping our region cleaner for the future.
One of our first steps is upgrading the Waste Transfer Station (WTS) in Barcaldine into a more user-friendly site, with clear drop-off areas for general waste, green waste, scrap metal, construction and demolition materials, beverage containers, tyres, batteries, oils, and more.
