Shoes, Clothes and Toys
GIVE YOUR PRELOVED ITEMS A SECOND LIFE ♻️
Not everything needs to go to landfill.
If your clothes, shoes, toys, or household items are still clean, safe, and in good condition, they may be useful to someone else in our community.
Barcaldine Regional Council encourages residents to support local donation op shops across the Barcaldine Region by donating quality pre-loved items instead of disposing of them.
Accepted donation items may include:
✅ Clothing for adults and children
✅ Shoes in good condition
✅ Toys and games
✅ Books
✅ Small household items
✅ Bags and accessories
✅ Linen and blankets (where accepted)
Why donate?
Donating helps:
✅ extend the life of useful products
✅ reduce waste going to landfill
✅ support local community organisations and charities
✅ provide affordable items for other residents
✅ reduce demand for new raw materials and manufacturing
Reusing products is one of the most effective forms of circular economy action—often even better than recycling.
