Festival commences on Friday night with a street party for everyone. Saturday is a full program around the town, starting early at 7am with Barrels for a Cause, then markets in the park bingo, paint and sip, a Live podcast luncheon with Angie Lindsay "Married to the Land" at the Showground and then the Tree of Knowledge Festival Cup at the racecourse. This is followed by the Shearers Strike Town Party which includes live music, children's entertainment and goat racing. Sunday is another big day including rugby and netball competitions during the day, Barcaldine REVFEST at the airport, Mini train rides at the Historic Museum and a Football game between Barcaldine Sandgoannas and Longreach Tigers at 6pm. Monday is reserved for the Labour Day March at 10am from the Barcaldine Showgrounds to the Australian Workers Heritage Centre which will be opened for celebrations and community enjoyment including jumping castles, free light refreshments and food available.
