Public notice: Current wet weather road conditions

This has led to widespread damage to our road network and has necessitated the recall of staff from leave to assess the damage and where possible undertake emergency repairs.

This has been hampered in many instances by the ongoing wet weather and the wet road surfaces. We have our supervisory staff undertaking inspections as promptly as they can. However, if you have a critical road condition issue that you wish to report or believe may not have been detected, we ask that you please report this through one of the following methods:

If you have rough chainage, including the name of the road and a description or photo of the issue would greatly assist our staff.

Public notice: Changed traffic conditions for Barcaldine town streets

Traffic conditions will be altered during this time along the following Town Streets:

Elm Street: Between Myall and Pine Streets – 7 October 2020 to 15 December 2020

Elm Street rehabilitation works have commenced and will continue for approximately two months. There will be interruptions to traffic for the duration of works. Residents are advised to drive their vehicles along the footpath to access their property. Please follow the directions given by the staff onsite.

Cedar Street: Between Yew and Ash Streets – 7 October 2020 to 27 October 2020

A concrete footpath is being constructed along Cedar Street from Yew to Ash Streets. Please follow all instructions given by the staff onsite during construction.
