The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises that traffic on the Landsborough Highway at the Alice River Bridge near Barcaldine will use the sealed, two-lane side-track from 21 June 2022.

Road works will be undertaken in Myall Street, Barcaldine, between Ash Street and Plumb Road from 9.00am on Tuesday 21 June 2022 until 5.00pm on Thursday 30 June 2022.

Please be advised that bitumen patching in Lodge Street will commence on Monday 30 May 2022 and will continue for approximately four to six weeks.

Temporary level crossing closures are in place for the following locations:

Queensland Rail will be undertaking maintenance on the rail line in Pine Street, Barcaldine on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 May 2022.

As part of the resealing works, Beech and Willow Streets will have aggregate scattered over the seals today, Thursday 17 March 2022, between 1.00pm and 4.00pm.

Works are being undertaken to upgrade the kerb and channel on Ash Street from the Department of Transport and Main Roads building to the corner of Beech Street.

From Monday 7 March 2022, several roads will be undergoing reseals.

The Texas Road will be closed from Wednesday 2 February 2022 until Friday 4 February 2022. The closure is due to emergent floodway repairs needed.
