This was the Muttaburra and district hospital and now houses much medical and social history. Dr Arratta MBE arrived in Muttaburra in 1925 and spent 35 years here - his book tells the story. The operating theatre dates back to 1933 and is equipped.

A.A. brought his family from Greece to Muttaburra in 1913 and became very successful. His house shows living conditions in the early 1900’s and the shop contains much history.
Fire Station

Housed in the Fire Station is a vast array of memorabilia from Muttaburra’s fire history, such as its first fire engine. The fire brigade was established in 1948.

Pump Hole
Enjoy a family BBQ and swimming under the shade of gums over 100 years old. Ideal fishing for Golden Perch, Black Bream and Jew Fish.
Fossicking
Down the gullies for agates and other strange stones including gidgee stones.
Nature Drive
Within 4km you will see a vast variety of both plant and animal life. The landscape will change from gidgee country to desert sand ridge country then to black soil channel type country.
Broadwater
A 3.5km stretch of water on the Thomson River ideal for fishing, skiing, birdwatch, bushwalking or relaxing in the shade.
Union Camp
The remains of the campsite used by striking shearers. In May of 1891 there were approximately 400 men camped at this site while they waited for the strike to break.
