Barcaldine Regional Council is calling for expressions of interest from the community to participate in taking images that reflect the drought and it’s impact. A selection of images will be posted onto an online gallery and one image from each participant will be printed as part of the Our Strength during the Drought Photo Exhibition.

Barcaldine Regional Council wishes to advise that at the Queensland Master Builders Awards held in Rockhampton on Friday 25th August 2017 the new Jericho Swmming Pool won the best Community Services Facility for Central Queensland for 2017 and will now compete in the state awards at the end of September.

Council regulates roadside vendors to ensure these activities are carried out in a safe manner for road users and pedestrians. This activity means the commercial supply of goods or services on a road. Roadside vending can involve travelling from place to place on a road and the waving down of the person operating the roadside vending by a customer (mobile roadside vending) or the activity being established in one place (stationary roadside vending). This approval does not apply to footpath dining activities.
