Barcaldine Library
Library is located at 71 Ash Street Barcaldine and has disability access. Cyclists can leave their bikes parked in the bike racks which are located to the right of the front steps.
Access to a wide and diverse range of resources to entertain, inform and assist in daily living, and services to extend and enhance use of these resources is provided through the Council Library.
There are separate collections for adults, youth and children with books, magazines, newspapers, video’s, audio cassettes, compact disc’s and CD-ROMs.
Large print and taped books and magazines are provided for the visually impaired, and a toy library operates.
Historical and contemporary materials relating to the local area are maintained, along with the genealogical and family history resources.
Facilities for Internet access and word processing are also provided.

Monday - 4.30pm to 6.30pm
Tuesday - 10.00am to 12 noon then 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Wednesday - 10.00am to 12 noon then 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Thursday - 10.00am to 1.00pm
Friday - 10.00am to 12 noon then 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Saturday - 9.00am to 12 noon
